David Fagan brings more than 30 years of construction management experience spanning retail, hospitality, higher education, federal, and complex capital projects. He is Owner/Operator of Davey, Mackison & Reid, LLC, where he provides preconstruction, cost planning and estimating, value engineering, and owner representation, including current cost estimating support for the University of Maryland’s capital program.
David’s experience includes preconstruction and cost development for large-scale hospitality and retail developments with Marriott International and The Taubman Company. At Marriott, his work encompassed more than $3 billion in hotel and resort projects, complemented by extensive experience in value engineering, construction-phase cost control, and cost risk analysis.
Throughout his career, David has worked closely with owners, developers, architects, engineers, and construction teams, including serving directly as an owner representative on complex projects and capital programs. He is known for translating complex cost and construction issues into clear, practical guidance, helping owners evaluate alternatives, identify potential risks, and consider cost, constructability, and long-term performance in making informed decisions.
